The Witch’s Bakery on Switch 2: edition and compatibility
A Switch 2 edition is announced in the launch lineup. Do not confuse it with running the original Switch game on Switch 2: Nintendo’s original Switch listing currently carries a progression warning.
Check the platform on the product
- Use the publisher’s linked store routes and confirm “Nintendo Switch 2” on the product.
- For a physical purchase, note that the announced Switch 2 format is a Game-Key Card. Read its download requirements before choosing it.
- If buying the original Switch edition to use on Switch 2, review Nintendo’s compatibility notice first.
Know the launch control issue
A Switch 2 player reported the brioche tutorial locking after adding flour. In a developer-tagged reply on October 15, SilverRoss acknowledged Joy-Con mouse issues and said a patch was in submission. That is not confirmation that a patch is installed or publicly released.
No assumed performance upgrade
We have not measured frame rates, resolution, load times or an upgrade entitlement between the two editions. Choose using the actual product label and current support information, not an assumed free upgrade.
