Estelle’s first Heart Barrier: why you must leave and return
If Lunne reaches the first barrier with a hole and says she does not have its key, leave the palace and continue Estelle’s story outside. This first visit deliberately stops there: pushing more cubes or repeating the entrance does not supply the missing knowledge about her.

Identify the story gate before trying another puzzle move
Earlier cubes can be moved to clear parts of the route. The first Heart Barrier is different: it has a hole, and approaching it triggers Lunne’s explanation that she lacks the key and needs to know more about its owner. Use that dialogue to identify the stopping point. If you have not seen it, this page does not establish that your current obstacle is story-locked.
Leave when Lunne says she cannot continue
Advance the barrier conversation. Lunne promises Sadness she will return, then says she should leave for now. Follow that departure sequence rather than repeatedly trying to push or activate the barrier. The useful completion signal for this visit is the transition back to serving Estelle in the bakery, not the disappearance of her Regret.
Continue the relationship outside the palace
After returning, finish the bakery conversation. Estelle’s Regret is still visible, and Lunne recognises that she needs to learn more about her. Resume the available story, check the phone for the current objective and follow newly available conversations.
This source does not show the later key acquisition or the final palace solution. It does not justify a specific gift combination, a fixed number of outings or an exact relationship level as a guaranteed unlock. Treat a later return with new story knowledge as a different stage.
Do you need to restart the save?
Reaching this first barrier with the matching dialogue is an expected stopping point in the recorded full-release sequence. It is not, by itself, evidence of a broken save. Keep playing outside the palace. If your issue is unresponsive controls or missing dialogue rather than the stated key requirement, that is a different symptom and this story explanation is not a control repair.
