The Witch’s Bakery demo: availability and save transfer
The public Steam demo was taken down after September 25, 2026. Its save is incompatible with the released game. If you played it, use the public branch and start a new game instead of continuing the demo save.
Returning from the demo
- In Steam, open the game’s Properties and find Game Versions & Betas.
- Confirm Default Public Version is selected.
- Launch the released game and select New Game. A visible Continue button does not make the old save compatible.
Is there a current free demo?
The verified takedown announcement covers the Steam demo. This guide does not promise a current console demo or a replacement trial. Check the official store for your platform; a historical demo download link is not proof it remains playable.
How long was it?
Demo playtime varied with reading and exploration. Do not use a demo completion time to estimate the full story. The publisher’s full-game estimate is about 20–25+ hours; it is an estimate, not a timer or requirement.
